The standard pipeline could be: first contact, prospect, customers, lost customers. But each professional would add his/her labels, according to their industry. For instance, a real estate agent can customize the stages as: first contact, first visit, evaluation, contract in progress, not interested; on the contrary, a freelance would label them as: potential customers, proposal phase, work in progress, completed jobs, lost customers. And so on, by changing the steps names depending on experience and on how your need to evolve.
